Poem - Look past the disability!

I started writing poems a few years a go. I have wrote a few. I haven't wrote one in a while, but will write one again in the future. I was born with a spinal condition/disability called Scoliosis. There is a post on my blog about my Scoliosis story, please check it out. Below is a poem i wrote in May 2018, about seeing the person first, before their disability, which is what people should do. You can share my poem if you want to! I am sorry this is a short blog post, i just wanted to share one of my poems with you. My next blog post will be longer. There is a person behind the disability. No need to judge them or stare. Disability, another word for what a person has. Ask, learn if you don't understand, there is a person there. Differently able sounds better to me. The person has less ability, not no ability. There is more to them than that. It's the ability they do have and the person they are, that they want you to see. (C) SJB 2018

Addicted to buying makeup!

Makeup became my hobby in 2018.  I have become a bit addicted to it, but it is a nice hobby to have.  In 2018 a carer I had did a nice eye makeup look on me, using a Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette.  I liked the eye look and then bought the eyeshadow palette she used myself.   I then became more interested in makeup and started sharing makeup looks on my social medias.  Here is my Instagram


My makeup collection has grown a lot.  It is easy to get tempted to buy new makeup, when makeup brands bring out such nice looking makeup products,  At times i have got into a bit of a habit of buying makeup, especially when i had to shield for a while from March (I was born with a spinal condition/disability called Scoliosis),. because of the virus.  I was a bit bored at times, and I just ended up buying a few makeup products.  I am sure other people can relate to this!


I have recently ordered a Makeup Revolution gift set, as an early Christmas present for myself.  I am not going to buy anymore makeup products from now on, unless it is an essential one i need, such as a mascara.  I have a nice makeup collection and i am going to use that up instead.  Have you bought a lot of makeup products recently?  Do you not buy a lot of makeup?
